of the Thirty Years War, in the form of prose and poetry.
Paul Fleming was influenced by Martin Opitz and his name is connected with 17th century German poetry.
Fleming wrote poems on subjects such as weddings, congratulations and
grief, but he also wrote religious and patriotic text.
His poems were about both worldly and spiritual matters.
