EMINEM`s Biography

First I want to talk about Eminem's Biography. Eminem's real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers the 3rd. He was born on the 17th of October in 1972 in St. Joseph near Kansas City/Missouri. In St. Joseph most of the people were black and they didn't like Eminem because he was a white guy. His father left them when Eminem was only 5 months old. His uncle Ronald Dean Polkingharn was only two months older than Marshall and he was like a brother for him. Then his mother begun to take drugs and drink alcohol, so she didn’t have enough time for Marshall. In 1983, when he was 11 years old, he was given a rap album from his uncle Ronnald. It was “Reckless” written and performed by Ice-T. He was so fascinated that he decided to begin to rap. In 1986 his mother Debbie Mathers born antoher boy and named him Nathan. From 1986 until 1989 he went to high school where he got new friends. They found a rap-group. In 1990 he was shot by a gang member but nobody knew why.
From 1990 until 1995 he worked in a small restaurant named “Gilbert`s Lodge”. He earned $ 5,50 per hour. He rapped every Friday in a radio show. On the 25th December of 1995 his daughter Hailie Jade Scot was born. In 1996 he made his first album (“Infinite”) but it wasn’t very succesful. At Christmas 1996 he wanted to die because of his unsuccesful Album "Infinite". Because of that he didn't earn as much money as he expected and so he took pills to kill himself. In 1997 he pariticipated in the rap olympics a big Rap concert in America whrere he got the second place. At the aftershow party he handed out some demo tapes from "The Slim Shady" EP. A friend of Dr. Dre got one either and gave it to Dr. Dre. Dre was so fascinated that he signed Eminem. In 1999 his first album was published; "The Slim Shady LP". On the 20th of July in 1999 he married his girlfriend Kim. In this year he also got his first Grammys for Best Rap Album ("The Eminem Show") and Best New Artist in a video ("My Name is").On the 23rd of May in 2000 his new Album "The Marshall Mathers LP" was published. On the 10th of July in 2000 his wife Kim wanted to kill herself. In July 2000 was the biggest rap concert in America; the “Up In Smoke Tour”. Em was there either and with him other rap superstars like Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and Ice-Cube. In January 2001 he toured through Europe. In Februrary 2001 he won 3 Grammys. His Album "The Eminem Show" was the biggest succes for Eminem. He didn't do anything for a long time because he wanted to concentrate on shooting his film "8 mile". The film represented his own life. Then on the 16th of November 2004 his new Album "Encore" was published in Germany.
